Quintasy: The End …
Happy new year to all. Wishing you all the best and good music and good health!
We unfortunately have to announce the following:
Due to creative differences as well as diverging life paths that would render a continued collaboration rather difficult for all concerned parties, Quintasy has decided to disband. After years of fruitful creative expression as a unit, it seems that the time has come for each member to follow a different fork in the road, in the hopes of fulfilling their artistic desires on their own, exploring new areas and rekindling the blaze of inspiration.
Thanks for your support over the years!
P.S.: Of course, our CD is still available. There are some copies left. You can get one by asking one of the bandmembers or via mail -> info [at] quintasy.lu
Bye Jérôme, Hi Max!
Unfortunately, Jérôme Fellerich, our saxophone & flute-player has left Quintasy some while ago because of lack of time. We have experienced a good time with this nice fellow and thank him very much for his ideas and influence which you can hear in our Quintasy-sound. We wish Jérôme good luck with his other projects and his family commitments.
So we have decided to not replace the saxophone for now and try something new. Quintasy now has a guitar player! Tataaaaaaa :-)

Max Cinus is a guitarist you can consider as autodidact. After learning the basics with Jean-Jacques Watgen, he has cut his own path. In the 1980s and 1990s, Max played with bands such as “Mr. Experience”, “Strange Brew”, “Human Bite”, “Supper’s Ready” and “Galileo” who have also been writing music for various plays of the theatre group “Namasté”. They collaborated with the poet and painter Paul Moutchen. In France, Max has toured with “IT& CO”, “Ac’Loustic” and “Jean-Paul Deguin”. He also plays the guitar for the Luxembourgish band Djuju.

Meeting Jeff Lorber & Victor Wooten
Quintasy Keyboarder Sacha had the chance to meet and greet Jazz-Fusion keyboard-legend Jeff Lorber after a concert they played at Iridium Jazz Club in New York City. Listen to Jeff’s last CD “Now is the Time”, it’s worth it!

The same week, the great Victor Wooten and Nate Watts (Stevie Wonder bassist) were giving a clinic at Sam Ash Music in New York. Victor illustrated his philosophy and many concepts, he’s also talking about in his DVDs. Cool guys :-)

We have added some new concert dates to our live-section: 12 May 2011 @ Soulkitchen (The Point, rue de Hollerich) and 14 May 2011 @ Streetfestival Differdange. More infos to be announced soon.
